Peg. Mojesh Dhanwar died in suspicious circumstances while assistant policeman Vikram Kandulna was injured in a love affair in Gamharia under Muru district of the district. The injured policeman has been sent to RIMS for better treatment. The injured Vikram Kandulna told the police that Mojesh had shot at him and later shot himself, killing him. However, the Peg SDPO says that it is difficult to say whether it was Mojesh who shot himself or was murdered by someone else. Police is currently investigating.
According to the information, Mojesh had gone to jail six months ago in the case of murder, robbery and Arms Act. He was having a love affair with an assistant policeman from Gamharia Panchayat area and they both wanted to get married. Since both the said girl and Mojesh belonged to the same gotra, the girl’s family were against marrying. While Mojesh was in jail, during this time, the girl’s house made her match with Vikram Kandulna. When Mojesh came to know about this after he was released from jail, he reached the girl’s house on Sunday night and after firing the girl’s brother-in-law, he ran away firing. On Monday morning Vikram Kandulna reached village Gamharia of Mojesh with some of his companions. There these people were talking to Mojesh that suddenly Mojesh opened fire on Vikram. The bullet hit Vikram’s hand.
As soon as the bullet went, the people who went with Vikram wanted to catch Mojesh. But he started running away. When people ran after him, on going away, he saw that the body of Mojesh was lying. After this, the information of the incident was given to Murhu police. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the body in possession and sent it for postmortem. At the same time, Rims was referred to the injured assistant policeman after first aid. In relation to the incident, Peg SDPO Ashish Mahli said that it is difficult to say whether it was Mojesh who shot himself or was murdered by someone else.
