Pal said that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam always followed the schedule. If he was to attend an event at 9 am, he would wake up at 5 am. About 2 hours before leaving home, he used to have breakfast and read newspapers. The 4 hours he spent in the morning on his own helped him to remain productive throughout the day. He said that India has achieved success in many areas. Since attaining independence in the year 1947, the country has moved forward with significant changes in each decade. India has achieved global leadership in the field of information technology and communication. But India has lagged behind in many areas, education being one of them. Changes have been seen in the education sector and there is a lack of practical approach. There is a collective need for further growth and development in such areas.
