Live webinar on ‘New Paradigms in Technology’

Jaipur. Former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was a person of humility and immense curiosity. Teaching was his passion and he was always a teacher. He believed that the mind of the youth is the strongest and there is a need to awaken this power by providing high quality education to all. This was said by Srijan Pal Singh, Founder and CEO of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Center. He was addressing a live webinar on ‘New Paradigms in Technology’ on the occasion of World Student Day and 89th birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. I was discussing with Mugdha Sinha in a webinar organized on Facebook page of IAS Literary Society, Rajasthan.

Pal said that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam always followed the schedule. If he was to attend an event at 9 am, he would wake up at 5 am. About 2 hours before leaving home, he used to have breakfast and read newspapers. The 4 hours he spent in the morning on his own helped him to remain productive throughout the day. The current young generation needs to learn from Dr. Kalam how important it is to spend time with oneself rather than being busy with many digital devices.

He said that India has achieved success in many areas. Since attaining independence in the year 1947, the country has moved forward with significant changes in each decade. India has achieved global leadership in the field of information technology and communication. But India has lagged behind in many areas, education being one of them. Changes have been seen in the education sector and there is a lack of practical approach. There is a collective need for further growth and development in such areas.
