The Statue of Unity will remain closed to the public till this date in view of PM Modi’s visit


Ahmedabad. The Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue located in Kevadia, has been opened to the public from 17 October. But it will be closed to the public again from 27 October to 02 November. This decision has been taken in view of Prime Minister Modi’s visit on 31 October. Jungle Safari Park is also likely to be closed to tourists from 21 October.

The Statue of Unity has been opened to the public from 17 October. More than 2,000 tourists arrived on Sunday to watch the Statue of Unity. In view of the possible program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come here on 31 October, the Statue of Unity area will be closed for tourists from 27 October to 01 November. 02 November is a weekly holiday on Monday. The Statue of Unity will be opened to tourists from November 03.

It has been told that in view of the demand and sentiment of tourists, the administration has postponed the weekly holiday from October 19 to October 26. All tourist destinations will be open only to those who have booked tickets online to limit the number of tourists according to Corona’s guidelines. In the Statue of Unity, only 2500 tourists will be allowed to access 5 slots throughout the day. Only 500 tourists a day will be allowed for the gallery.

It is noteworthy that the Statue of Unity was closed for 6 months due to Corona crisis. Last season, over 4 million tourists visited the Statue of Unity.
