Digital Desk, Mumbai. Tata Housing has announced a new scheme with zero stamp duty. This scheme for the customers who are availing the Construction Linked Payment Plan for the project in Maharashtra. This comes after the Maharashtra government’s decision to reduce the stamp duty from 5 percent to 2 percent.
The new Zero Stamp Duty scheme will be offered as an option if a customer does not want to take advantage of the already running scheme. However, the two schemes cannot be clubbed together. The scheme will remain in force till October 31, 2020. Projects include Sarin (Pokhran Road 2, Thane), Amantra (Kalyan Bhiwandi Corridor), New Haven Boisar II (Boisar (E), NR Mumbai), La Montana (Talegaon, NR Pune) and Priva (Lonavala).
Amit Parshuramka, senior vice president, Tata Realty and Infrastructure, said, the state government’s decision to reduce stamp duty from 5 percent to 3 percent from 1 September to 31 December 2020 and 2 percent from 1 January 2021 to 31 March 2021. Sentiment will change.
