new Delhi. Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, is witnessing havoc due to heavy rain since the beginning of this week. Talking about the last 24 hours, it rained on Saturday for people from morning to late night. Waterlogging in many areas of Hyderabad due to continuous rains severely affected the movement and disrupted public life.

According to information received from Meteorological Department, Singapore township of Malkajgiri district received 157.3 mm of rain and 153 mm of rainfall in Bandlaguda from 8.30 am to late night on Saturday. Many other areas of the city also received heavy rainfall. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains with thunder in many parts of the city even today.

GHMC’s Director of Monitoring and Disaster Management, Vishwajit Kamapati, has tweeted that the rescue workers of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation are continuously engaged in relief work to provide relief to people from waterlogging and flooding. The focus of the administration is to keep people safe.

50 killed

Please tell that in many districts including Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, life has been completely disturbed due to large scale rains for the past several days. So far 50 people have died due to heavy rains. Many areas have been submerged. Relief and rescue workers are working day and night in the areas affected by heavy rains.
