PDM warns in power show: Imran government’s countdown starts | PDM warns in power show: Imran government’s countdown starts

Islamabad, October 17 (IANS). Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is facing a severe attack from opposition parties. Opposition parties have now started an anti-government campaign together, which aims to knock out the ruling government.

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of opposition parties with at least 11 political parties, organized a massive gathering in Gujranwala town in Punjab province on Friday, with opposition leaders addressing a packed rally with the people.

The PDM warned that Khan’s government is not over long and the countdown has begun.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said, “I am fighting for the things that have been destroyed during the tenure of the current government and fighting for journalists who have been censored.” Journalists who stood by the truth were fired. The situation today is that women health workers are protesting on the streets of Islamabad.

Referring to the overthrow of his father, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said, no one has the right to exclude elected representatives of the public. It is the people who form governments and who make them, also have the right to remove them.

Talking about Panama leaks and court orders, referring to what the Sharif family referred to as the Sicilian mafia. Mariam reminded that the court would be well aware of what a mafia really is.

He said, today you (Imran Khan) have suppressed the media, that is why no one talks about your corruption.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) president Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said that Khan had no solution to the problems of the poor.

Bilawal made fun of the Prime Minister’s Volunteer Force, saying Tiger’s solution is inflation for Imran. Their solution for locusts is the Tiger Force. Their solution for the Kovid-19 is Tiger Force.

Bilawal said that Imran Khan promised to end corruption, but broke all records of corruption. He said the founding members of PTI claimed that Khan and his political party were funded from India.

Anti-government outrage continued as Maulana Fazlur Rahman, leader of the Jamiat-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), called the government a fake ruler.

He said that the fate of the fake ruler would be decided soon. The sun of democracy is about to rise soon. If you remain fearless, this government will not see the month of December.

The opposition’s coalition against the government got a strong start from the Gujranwala Sabha and plans to hold similar anti-government rallies in Karachi, Multan, Lahore and Peshawar in the coming days.

Fazal said, our movement has started, it will not stop now.
