Dehradun. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the Walkathon and Badminton events organized for Corona Winners on Sunday. The Chief Minister flagged off Walkathon at a function held at the Chief Minister’s residence. He also played badminton match with Corona Winners. On the one side in the doubles were the Chief Minister and one Corona winner while on the other side there were Secretaries, Sports, BK Sant and another Corona winner. In this, the Chief Minister’s team won the game 10–5.
To increase the spirit of fighting Kovid-19 in the society, ‘Corona Warrior to Winner’ program has been started on the initiative of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. In it, a number of sports events have been organized for the people recovering from Corona under the aegis of Sports Department. Under this, on Sunday, the Chief Minister flagged off the walkathon from the CM’s residence and played a badminton match.
The Chief Minister said that countries all over the world are struggling with Corona. There are many side effects of corona on health. We can all win in the fight only by uniting it. The rate of corona infection has come down but we all need to be more careful and cautious now. Especially in view of the upcoming festivals, use of masks and taking care of the distance of two yards.
Chief Minister Trivendra said that earlier the need was felt to increase the morale of the people who had recovered from Corona, but now this Corona Winners are encouraging all of us in the fight against Corona. These programs organized for Corona Winners will definitely bring more awareness about Corona in the society. We all have to understand that there is no laxity unless there is medicine.
