Mumbai: The Bandra Magistrate Court has ordered an FIR against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. The court issued the order based on Kangana’s tweets and statements made on news channels. The petition filed in the court said that Kangana had talked of dividing the artists into Hindu artists and Muslim artists. Kangana was accused of increasing social malice.
Earlier, a case has been registered against Kangana Ranaut for one of her tweets in Karnataka. In this tweet, he had allegedly targeted farmers protesting against the controversial Central Agricultural Acts. Based on a recent order from a local court in Karnataka, the police in Tumkuru district registered a case. Police said a case has been registered under sections 108 and 153A of the Indian Penal Code.
On October 9, a court of Tumkuru’s First Class Judicial Magistrate (JMFC) directed the police to file an FIR on a complaint made by advocate L Ramesh Naik. The complaint said that the tweet made on September 21 from the Twitter handle of the actress has hurt her. Ranaut had tweeted, “Prime Minister, someone is sleeping, he can be woken up, which can be explained by misunderstanding, but what difference does he make by acting of sleep, acting of mindlessness? These are the same terrorists, not a single person has gone to citizenship from CAA but they have shed blood rivers. ”
