He said, my main reason for doing Mizarpur was that I wanted to be seen as a more reliable artist than a beloved heroine. In such a situation, the story world and the character attracted me to this show. After playing the role of a cute teenager in Haramkhor, I became the same for these young stories. But an artist needs to be able to do all kinds of things. I consciously made the choice to do stories and films where I do not appear in a soft role.
In season 1 of Mizarpur, she appeared in the role of Golu Gupta. She will be seen as a tough girl in the upcoming season of the show.
Shweta said, I have noticed how both Season 2 and Mizarpur changed me in lakhs. These were both different outings and they were both highlighting my different shades. One was righteous, the other was positive. These layers made these roles interesting and I’m just happy that things worked for me. Now I am getting roles that are far more versatile and interesting.
Produced by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmeet Singh and Mihir Desai, Mizarpur Season 2 will stream on Amazon Prime Video from 23 October.
