Mumbai. Central Rail will operate the mega block on its suburban sections tomorrow to carry out various engineering and other maintenance work. Under the block, the mega block will be operational on the main line’s Matunga – Mulund up and down fast line from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.
During this time, the Down Fast / Semi Fast special leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 9.23 am to 2.42 pm will be diverted to the Down Slow Line between Matunga and Mulund and will stop at the fast line at Mulund and according to the schedule. It will be diverted again. The Up Fast Special Local leaving Thane will be diverted to the Up Slow Line between Mulund and Parel from 9.33 am to 2.58 pm and will stop according to the Shadow Halt and divert it again to the Up Fast Line at Parel.
Similarly, the Panvel-Vashi Up and Down Harbor line of the Harbor line will be operational from 10.40 am to 3.40 pm. This includes the Belapur-Sewoods-Uran line. During this time special services of Up Harbor Line towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai will be suspended from Panvel from 10.00 am to 3.35 pm. At the same time, down harbor line services from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai to Panvel from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm will be suspended. However, special local trains will run on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Vashi section during the block period.
Jumbo Block of Western Railway between Bhayander and Vasai Road Stations: Up and Between Bhayander and Vasai Road Stations by Western Railway from 11.00 am to 15.00 pm on Sunday, October 18, 2020 for maintenance of Rail Path Signaling System and Upper Equipment. Jumbo blocks will be placed on the slow down lines. According to Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway Sumit Thakur, all slow trains in up and down direction will be run on the fast line from Borivali to Vasai Road / Virar stations during the block. The railway administration has requested the passengers to keep the above block arrangement in mind while starting the journey.
