On the first day of Navratri on Saturday, devotees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi lined up for darshan at Katra. More than 000,000 people are not allowed to visit in a day. Their temperature is being checked and all necessary SOPs are being followed on the background of the epidemic.
A Mata Vaishno Devi App has been launched through which people who cannot come to Mata Vaishno Devi can visit their homes directly.
One devotee said, “The decoration is very good and flowers have come from Bangalore. Arrangements have been made for Kovid-1 for.”
“They are helping to do the COVID-1 tests before they come here,” she added.
Sharad (Autumn) Navratri festival includes worship of Goddess Durga and her nine types. This festival is celebrated in different ways across the country. Over the next nine days, devotees pray to Goddess Durga and fast.
