Islamabad, October 13 (IANS). Pakistani education activist and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai joined a discussion with Britain’s Prince Harry and his wife Megan Markle.

In this discussion organized in a virtual manner, she spoke of raising the voice of women and standing up for their rights.

Thanking Malala for joining the discussion, Markle said, when young girls have access to education, everyone wins and succeeds. It only opens the high doors of success for the society. I realized long ago that when there is a seat for women at the table, then policy, law, community’s communication makes a difference.

According to Monday’s report by Dawn News, the Nobel laureate reported that 20 million girls are on the verge of dropping out due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Malala said, these girls can either be married off or they can be employed to help the family financially. We must ensure that they return to school safely.
