Just a few days ago, Huawei officially confirmed the launch of its new flagship smartphone series called Mate 40. The company will introduce the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro models on October 22. The launch event will be hosted online and is expected to stream on the company’s social media handle starting at 2 PM CEST (5.30pm) IST. The Pro model has visited GeekBench before launch. Let’s look at the features offered by the Mobile Benchmark website:
Huawei Mate 40 Pro listed at GeekBench
The Huawei Mate 40 Prola is spotted on the GeekBench with the NOH-NX9 model number. According to the database, the upcoming flagship smartphone will run on ARM HighSilicon processor. The chipset is said to be an in-house Kirin 9000 processor based on a 5nm architecture. Also, it is likely to have an integrated modem for 5G network support. Furthermore, the processor will be integrated with Mali-G78 GPU to handle all graphics.
The Geekbench list also features an 8 RAM configuration. Not to mention the storage capacity, we can expect the company to ship handsets with at least 128GB storage configuration. Mate 40 Pro will launch with Android 10 OS and will feature the Huawei App Gallery. The listing also shows the benchmark scores of the upcoming smartphones.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro scored 1,020 points in single-core and 3,710 points in multi-core tests on the Geekbench. All of these major glasses are listed on the Benchmark website. The company has not yet officially confirmed the remaining features.
However, past leaks have suggested a tablet-sized selfie camera setup that will hold two selfie cameras. The display details are unspecified, but we can expect FHD + resolution. It is also shipped with a 108MP primary rear camera and 65W fast charging support. The capacity of the battery has not been revealed yet.
