‘Honor of Death’: Indian Army Restores Decorated Tombs of Decorated Pakistani Officers


The Indian Army said on Thursday that the grave of a Pakistani official had been restored in the Naugam sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar-based Chinar Corps has written a letter in memory of Major Mohammad Shabir Khan, Sitar-e-Jurat Shahid, martyred in a counter attack by Sikh Sikhs on May 2, 2012.

“Following the tradition and conduct of the Indian Army, #CinarCorps resurfaced the damaged tomb of Major Mohammad Shabir Khan, Sitara-e-Jurrat, an Army (CIA) operative in Pakistan, next to Naugam LC. Corps posted on its Twitter handle.

The army further said, “A fallen soldier, regardless of his nationality, deserves respect and honor in the event of death. #IndianArmy stands by this belief. This is the #IndianArmy for the world, ”the army added.
