Patna. Major BJP leaders who were engaged in campaigning for Bihar Assembly elections narrowly escaped on Saturday evening. Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad’s helicopter survived a crash during landing at Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport in the capital Patna. He was accompanied by Health Minister Mangal Pandey of Bihar government and Water Resources Minister and senior JDU leader Sanjay Jha in the helicopter.
Both BJP leaders went to campaign in Kaimur district Bhabua and Chenari assembly constituencies. In order to return from there, when the helicopter started to land at the Patna airport, the blade (fan) of the helicopter hit the wall. During this time the spark also came out and the balance of the helicopter deteriorated, but due to the understanding of the pilot, a big accident was averted and the helicopter was safely landed.
