Govt Schemes For Women : Punjab National Bank has also taken an initiative to make women self-reliant. Recently launched special scheme for women. PNB has launched a Power Savings Account for women in this scheme. This is a special scheme for women, through which women can avail many facilities by opening an account. It also provides the facility of a joint account.
Sharing the details of the scheme on its official Twitter handle, PNB wrote, ‘PNB Power Savings is a special scheme for women. You can open this account anywhere in the village or city. You can open this account in the village with 500 rupees. Account can be opened in semi-urban area with 1000 rupees. At the same time, to open an account in urban areas, a starting deposit of Rs 2,000 will be required.

Free 50-page checkbook is available annually.
NEFT is available for free.
Platinum debit card and free SMS alert facility are also available on bank account.
Free Accidental Death Insurance cover up to Rs 5 Lakh
Cash withdrawal facility of up to 50 thousand rupees is also available daily.
