Gautam Gambhir 39 years old: Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina Congratulations Cricket News


Gautam Gambhir turned 39 on Wednesday and wished him a happy birthday from the cricket brothers and fans. The former Indian cricketer is currently a member of the Lok Sabha. Yuvraj Singh, a former teammate of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), took to Twitter to congratulate the former captain. Posting a photo of his International Cricket Day, Yuvraj wrote, “Mr. GG @ Gautam Gambhir sends you a lot of love and best wishes for your special day.

Suresh Raina also took to Twitter to wish Gambhir a happy birthday. He wrote, “Happy Birthday Gauti Bhai @ Gautam Gambhir. May you all continue to do wonderful work with us and keep us all proud. Wishing you good health and happiness.”

KKR and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also hailed him as a fan.

Gambhir played most of his international cricket as an opener. He represented Delhi in domestic cricket and led KKR, Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Under Gambhir’s leadership, KKR won its first IPL title in 2012 and again in 2014.

He has played 242 international matches for India and scored 10,324 runs.

He also won the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup.


In 200 In, he became the number one batsman in the ICC Test rankings and won the ICC Test Player of the Year award the same year.

He has been awarded the Arjuna Award and the Padma Shri by the Government of India.
