Interview with David Guetta

You have said that at this time of separation, you have been surprisingly inspired to release music with stimulating power. Do you think music has healing powers? What were your thoughts while creating Let’s love?

This is a difficult time for all of us. It’s been six months since the epidemic hit the world. It’s hard to live a lonely life, so we wanted to do something that gave people hope and spread love. We want to remind people that this is a difficult time for everyone and that we need to come together instead of blaming or pitting against each other.

You have eight collaborators and the most successful musical partnership with record-breaker incredible artist Sia. Titanium, Flame, Wolf, And now Let’s love. What about Sia, an artist who still inspires you to create chartbusters together on people’s playlists years later?

I love working with Sia. She’s a crazy genius, her voice is not only incredible but she’s also a really talented lyricist. I asked her if she wanted to make another song with me, because I thought the world needed better music. Sia really wrote Let’s love In less than 24 hours! Titanium Both of our lives changed, Sia became more successful but she always remained loyal to me and I was very appreciative of it.

You have made a prestigious product I think so He also collaborated with Black Eyed Peas and others, including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Pitbull, Kelly Rowland and Nikki Minaj. Who are the other artists you want to make music with?

David Guetta

Morton! (DJ Morton Brem) He’s a great producer and a guy I love to work with. I think Joel Carey is definitely one too!

Going back to the beginning of your career, what attracted you to DJing and then EDM and house music?

When I decided to become a DJ, there was no money or fame in this work. I’m willing to risk and sacrifice my life because I really want to enjoy something and I’m lucky because it got so big. To be willing to take that risk, you have to work passionately and give your 100 percent.

Have you always been into EDM and some pop music? What was the first song you composed? Have you ever made or planned to make pure bales?

Most people know my first song Just a little more love, But the actual first is a hip-hop record. In the late 80s, I was a hip-hop DJ and competed in DMC-style scratching. I took a tour in France and the competition was rapper fights and the idea was to sign rappers for the Apple record. It’s like 199 like. I would DJ and scratch and people would rape upstairs What happened was just as successful, when I came back from the summer tour island it was like, ‘You have to set a record.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know if I can set a record.’ They put me in the studio and I had no idea what I was doing. I managed to do something with this French rapper. If you want to smile better, go to YouTube and search for ‘Nation Rap’. Really enjoyable.

How much and where have you spent your time in an epidemic? In addition to making music, did you learn anything new during this time? New hobbies?

Lockdown is a very productive period for me. This gave me the opportunity to really focus on my music; At the beginning of the epidemic, I was working on new music almost every day. I also loved spending as much time with my kids as possible, this was really the first summer I spent at home with my family. So this whole situation allowed me to spend more time in production but also enjoyed my family.
