Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham has apologized after footage surfaced of him violating national coronavirus rules with England teammates Ben Chilwell and Jadon Sancho. The video, published by the Sun newspaper, shows the three players at a rally in London on Saturday with more than six people in attendance. Gareth was in Southgate’s England squad for Iceland a month after Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood were sent home for violating the Coved-1 prot protocol.
The FA has seen footage of the party and, quoting a spokesman, Sur said: “There will be no change in the England squad at this stage.
The England team will meet this week ahead of the friendly against Wales on Thursday and the Nations League matches against Belgium and Denmark.
Chelsea’s pair of Abraham and Chilwell and Borussia Dortmund’s Sancho are in the 30-man squad.
The party is reportedly being held as a surprise gathering for Abraham’s 23rd birthday.
Forward has apologized to the newspaper: “I came home to find a small surprise meeting.
“I was not fully aware that this was planned, but I sincerely apologize for the innocence shown for the organization and for participating in this gathering.
“All I can do now is learn from it, apologize to everyone and make sure it never happens again.”
