New Delhi, October 13 (IANS). The Central Government has transferred Special Director of Enforcement Directorate (ED) Yogesh Gupta from Kolkata to New Delhi and has given additional charge of the post of Special Director in Kolkata to Vivek Wadekar.

The Cabinet Appointments Committee (ACC) took this decision on Monday.

The order said, ACC has approved the proposal to transfer from Yogesh Gupta, IPS, Kolkata as Special Director of ED to New Delhi and has been given additional charge of the post of Special Director in ED as ED. . Vivek Wadekar was ordered appointed as Special Director (CR) in ED Kolkata.

Prior to joining ED, Gupta was posted at Kerala Financial Corporation.

Gupta, who is also a chartered accountant, was in charge of the Bank Securities and Fraud Cell at the Mumbai branch of the CBI.

On the other hand, Wadekar is a 1991 batch IRS officer. He was appointed as Special Director in ED for five years in March 2018.
