DigiLocker App: How to Upload Driving License, RC in DigiLocker

Digi-Locker, a government platform based on clouds, collaborated with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and provided citizens with important documents such as vehicle registration certificates and driving licenses. As part of this partnership, Digi Locker has been integrated into the National Register, the national database of vehicle registration and driving license data across the country.

Digilocker can be accessed through the official website www.digilocker.gov.in or through the official app. It allows users to access their DL and RC digital copies on their desktop and mobile device in just a few clicks.

How to upload driving license, R.C. in Digilocker.

First, you need to set up your Digilocker account to upload your documents to it. Follow the steps below to set up a DigiLocker account and upload your driver’s license and vehicle registration certificate to DigiLocker.

• Download the Digilocker app for free on your Android or iOS device.
• Create an account using a valid mobile number. This will send you a one-time password (OTP) required to access your DigiLocker account. This will prompt you to create a username and password for your account.
• If prompted, one of the keys in your Aadhar card number will automatically fill in all your personal information like name, address etc. Note that the details in your driving license and vehicle registration certificate match on the Aadhaar card.
• Add your driving license number to get the same in real-time. This will keep the timestamp for keeping records.
• After driving license, Digilocker app lets you save other documents like vehicle registration certificate and pollution control certificate
• Both driving license and vehicle registration certificates will be verified by digital signature or QR code.
