new Delhi . The Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Central Government has started the work of advancing Vigyan Jyoti and Engage with Science (Vigyan Prasar). It aims to promote scientific thinking among the youth. The existing opportunities will be expanded to increase the interest of meritorious girls in Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). A learning platform will be created by DST in partnership with IBM to develop learning and scientific thinking among the youth of the country.
Vigyan Jyoti is a program that promotes learning of science, technology, engineering and mathematics among students. This program is run to create an equal opportunity for meritorious girls from 9th to 12th standard.
At the same time, the intention is to connect students, teachers with scientists through an initiative called Engage with Science. So that scientific thinking can be developed in the country. Announcing the collaboration, Professor Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, DST said, “The partnership with IBM will extend these programs of DST and science dissemination to students and teachers in large scale interactive ways.
Taking the interactive learning platform ‘Engage with Science’, the trend of learning will be fostered among the youth of the country and it will solve the problems of school students who need more knowledge outside the classroom and an interactive way of learning Provides insight.
