Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen advanced to the second round of the Denmark Open on Tuesday and badminton resumed after a gap of seven months. In the 36-minute match, Lakshya defeated Cristo Popov of France 21-19, 21-1-15. The 1-year-old Indian did not allow his opponent to accelerate and won the match in a straight game.
Spanish badminton star Carolina Marin advanced to the second round after defeating Russia’s Natalia Perminova 21-7, 21-15.
The target will then be Belgium’s Maxim Morels and Denmark’s Hans-Christian Solberg Wittings.
