In the 34th match of IPL 2020, Chennai Super Kings suffered another defeat by 5 wickets at the hands of Delhi Capitals. Chasing a target of 180 runs in this match, Delhi needed 17 runs. Dwayne Bravo was replaced by Ravindra Jadeja for the last over Chennai and Akshar Patel gave the team the victory with three sixes in his over.

At the press conference, he said “Dwayne Bravo was injured during the match due to which he did not bowl the last over. He might have been out for a few days or even weeks.”
Fleming said of Bravo’s injury, “He had a groin injury and was so severe that he had to be taken off the field. He is clearly disappointed that he could not bowl the last over.”

He continued “He will have to be convinced to move again, but at this stage you would think that it will take a few days or a few weeks, but we will assess it tomorrow.”
Shikhar Dhawan played a century in this match for Delhi. Fleming says that if we had not missed some of his catches in the beginning, we could have changed the result by putting pressure on him. Dhawan played an unbeaten 101-run knock against Chennai.
Chennai Super Kings, batting first, had a target of 180 runs in front of Delhi and this goal was achieved by Delhi with a ball remaining due to Shikhar Dhawan’s century and Akshar Patel’s stormy innings.
