A new survey has revealed that Apple’s share of the new smartphone market is very low, but Apple has left many giants behind when it comes to pre-owned phones.
Apple phones account for 25% of the demand in the pre-owned phone market and Apple holds 21% in terms of supply on OLX.
As far as Android phones are concerned, Xiaomi is second in the pre-owned category with a demand share of 22 per cent, while it is second in terms of supply with 18 per cent.
The South Korean brand Samsung holds 15 percent of the demand and 17 percent of the supply.
OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo and Realme are quite popular among customers in the budget segment. The four together share a 30% stake in demand and supply on OLX.
During the lockdown, there has been a 61% increase in demand for pre-owned phones and 76% in supply.
