Amid crowds in Himachal’s Shaktipeeths and temples amid Corona crisis


Shimla. Amidst the outbreak of Corona, a large crowd of devotees thronged Shaktipeeths and temples in Himachal Pradesh on the first day of Sharadiya Navratri on Saturday. There is great enthusiasm among devotees regarding Navratri. The devotees are engaged in worshiping the mother Shailputri with fasting.

Unfazed devotees from Corona are reaching darshan in various Shaktipeeths and temples. Devotees started gathering in Shaktipeeth Jwalamukhi, Maa Chamunda, Brajeshwari, Chintpurni in Una and Naina Devi in ​​Bilaspur from Sunday morning. Apart from this, crowds of devotees gathered in other temples located in the districts.

Historical temples Tara Devi, Kalibari, Dhingu Mata and Kamna Devi, etc. in the capital Shimla have been attracting devotees since morning. The respective district administration and temple committees have made special arrangements to stop the spread of corona. It is compulsory for devotees to wear masks and observe social distance. Duty of police personnel has been imposed to deal with those who violate the rules.

In view of the infection of Coronavirus, special facilities have been kept in temples and Shaktipeeths. Other precautions are also being taken from social distancing. The devotees are also taking care of the corona and going with full alertness to see the goddess.

DGP Sanjay Kundu said that Kovid’s guideline is being strictly followed in Shaktipeeths and temples. Security arrangements in the temples have been strengthened and activities are being monitored with CCTV cameras.
