Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s abducted wife Alia Siddiqui appeared in the magistrate’s court and recorded her statement against the actor and his family. In her statement, she reiterated one of the many allegations made a few months ago that Nawaz’s brother was molested by a family member in 2012.
PTI told Circle Office Girija Shankar Tripathi that Alia had appeared in the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POSCO) court and her statement was recorded under Section 144 of the CRPC. Her complaint was against Nawaz and four members of his family.
The report said that Nawaz’s brother Saifuddin alleged that Alia was trying to blackmail the actor and extort money from him.
Earlier, Alia had filed a case of rape and fraud against Nawaz’s second brother Shams Nawab Siddiqui. Saying that the allegation was false, Shamas took the matter to the Mumbai High Court.
Meanwhile, Alia has also filed for divorce from Nawaz. In an interview with Pinkvilla, she accused Nawaz of infidelity and claimed that when her first husband was expected, the husband used to carry women on her. She further claimed that it was Shama who exposed Nawaz’s infidelity.
In May, Nawaz filed for divorce by sending her a legal notice. His lawyers allege that Alia had launched a ‘slander campaign’ against Nawaz in the media.
