Digital desk. In today’s time, technology has become very advanced in every field. Especially in the field of agriculture, different types of technologies are being adopted, so that farming can also be made easier and maximum grain production can be done. By the way, if you are thinking that farming is possible only on land, then perhaps you do not know that there is a country where cultivation is done on walls too. Here, along with paddy and wheat, vegetables are also grown on the walls. This technology is gradually becoming popular worldwide. This technique is called vertical farming i.e. ‘wall farming’.
Vertical farming is the name of a wall farming country called Israel. In fact, in Israel and many other countries, there is a shortage of cultivable land and people have adopted vertical farming to get rid of this problem. According to Pioneer Guy Barnes, founder of Israeli company Greenwall, his company is also associated with large companies such as Google and Facebook, with whose cooperation many farms in Israel are being cultivated with vertical farming technology.
Under vertical farming, the plants are planted in small units in the pots and at the same time it is ensured that the plants do not fall from the pots. Special arrangements are also made for irrigation in these pots. However, the units are removed from the wall for some time to grow the grain and then later put back into the wall. Apart from Israel, vertical farming ie wall farming technology is also spreading rapidly in America, Europe and China. The biggest advantage of such farming is that having a plant on the wall does not increase the temperature of the house and it also maintains moisture in the surrounding environment. Apart from this, the effect of noise pollution is also lessened.
