As reported by Tolo News, Ghani is accompanied by First Vice President Amartullah Saleh, Acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar, National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib, members of the lower house and upper house and many other high-level government officials.
The president is also accompanied by the head of prominent Afghan media.
President’s spokesman Sedik Sidikki said Gani in Kuwait would pay tribute to the late Amir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabar al-Sabah.
The direct talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban negotiating teams are about to begin, due to which Ghani has gone on a visit to both countries.
It has been 22 days since intra-Afghan talks began.
The negotiating teams have held seven contact group meetings, but the two disputed points are not in agreement.
