Recently Vijay Sethupati surprised his fans and followers with the first look poster of his next title 800, Biography of Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan. The actor could not be identified as Muralitharan in the poster and he also got immense love from netizens.

In a short video released, the producers gave a glimpse of the film set against the backdrop of Sri Lanka’s civil war, which ravaged the country for almost three decades and marked the rise of the renowned spinner.

Some urged the actor to reconsider his decision as he said the Sri Lankan government was responsible for the atrocities and killings of thousands of Tamils.
