Virendra Kanwar, Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry has expressed gratitude for the Central Government receiving an interest-free amount of Rs 450 crore. In a press statement released on Wednesday, Virender Kanwar said that this amount has been given to Himachal Pradesh for 50 years and this will boost the pace of economic development in the state. The Minister of Rural Development has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur for this amount.
Kanwar said that Prime Minister Modi has a special affinity with Himachal Pradesh, hence the interest-free Rs 450 crore is the highest among all states. He said that the Prime Minister has made three visits to the state in the last two and a half years after forming the government in Himachal Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and has generously helped Himachal Pradesh. Certainly the residents of Himachal Pradesh are getting the benefit of double engine and the pace of development is accelerating. Himachal Pradesh has received such a huge amount due to Anurag Thakur being a minister in the Central Government.
Rural Development Minister Virendra Kanwar said that with the help of 450 crores received from the Central Government, development of infrastructure, employment generation, self-employment opportunities, empowerment of local businesses and capital flow in Himachal Pradesh will strengthen the economy and bring economic prosperity.
