Kondagaon In Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Kondagaon district, 9 tribal girls studying at Village Mardapal Kanya Ashram have been selected for the trials of Hockey India Sub-Junior and Junior National Camp. For the last four years, in collaboration with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, 55 tribal girls were training in Naxal-affected areas.
India-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) hockey coach Surya Sumit said that they have prepared these girls to play at the national level. For this, the ITBP has provided all the resources to the girls, so that they can be given better training and the girls should play for the country and state.
He said that girls were provided space to play on the open helipad, as this is the only open and safe place here. He said that girls have taken better training in limited resources, the result of which is in front of everyone today.
